If you look at a kid, draw the things that you see. I would start with the head. A head always comes first when your drawing any organism.
Draw the body. Be sure to give the body a young look to it. For example: You don’t want to make muscles on a kid.
Draw the arms, hands, legs, feet, and neck. These are the basic things that you should draw all the time.
Draw the face. The face should have a young look to it.

Before any artist begins with his/her draw, they must have the materials. The required materials for drawing is paper, pen, pencil, or a crayon. If you don’t know where to buy art supplies then I would advise you to shop either at Target, Wal*Mart, K-Mart, or Staples. Mikes is a good store to buy art supplies. After getting the supplies then you should start learning how to draw.

Female hair is long making it harder to draw the pose of the body. Hard to explain but let’s cut to the chase. This tutorial will be a little more easier for you because most boys have short hair. You don’t need to draw any fancy hair style. The only hard thing about drawing a boy is being sure not to make the boy look like a girl. Some people get tangled when it comes to drawing a boy’s face. It’s harder than you think. Draw the head shape. A boy’s head has a marine/football player look to it. Don’t make the head look to manly – we are drawing a boy not an adult.
